Friend and Field Trip
A friend came over Saturday for a photo field trip! We didn't go very far, the backyard, the garage and the farm. It was a lot of fun and I hope we do it again. I used a polarizing filter for the first time. I need some more learning and research on those. I was kind of happy we didn't get such an early start cause it gave me a perfect excuse to use the CP. It was a great day for pics, and I got clouds, which hardly ever happens at the farm. Then I lost my photo friend to my husband and sports. It was okay, we were both photo'd out by that time anyway.
Getting Sick of Kittens Yet?
Foggy Sunrise
Last week I woke up eary enough for sunrise pics. It was really foggy and there was a dreamlike quality to my backyard. Here are some of my favorite attempts. I would have taken more of my horse Jate in the fog but he was getting quite upset about how I was empty handed (he loves to eat and I didn't bring his food bucket.)

New Gear
I received my equipment order this week! My new Canon Rebel Xti and studio lights have arrived. I've already broken the camera in. I'll have to wait to use the lighting gear since they neglected to send the bulbs along. The last pic is the site of the future Michivision studios. I've put up a door and my next step is staining the concrete and painting. Almost there!

New Additions
I've fallen horribly off the photo bandwagon the last month. I was disheartened by a few things but it's all good now. Any one of these days I'm splurging on the canon rebet xti and a few accessories to go with it. I'm in the preplanning stages for converting garage space into a studio, it will be a while though. So, if anyone has any suggestions for lighting and backdrop, especially good deals feel free to let me know. Our "outside" cat had her kittens and we "rescued" them. (Our neighbor brought them over in a plastic bin and we found a way to lock them all in the garage. She's not really ours but we feed her all the time.) They are so adorabe and as soon as I can get someone to help me pose them, I'm taking more photos. There's also a picture of Princess Michi with her trainer. I could use lessons with night time photography.
